Sweetwater Kitchen & Cocktails: A Cozy Escape for American Cuisine and Craft Cocktails

Came with my family of five; three adults, two seniors. The appetizers, cheese curds and bread, were delicious! The sauce that comes with the curds was the best part, the parm butter needed something more to it where I wish it was just butter. Still good! Dinners were..french onion soups, pork steak, tenderloin sandwich, shrimp'n'fries, fish'n'chips, and the french onion burger. Everyone was satisfied, but the thing everyone was mentioning was that seasonings could be stronger and deeper. My onion burger couldve been much more onion-y and needed salt. The fish was incredibly fresh and quite peppery, very good! They are not fried, though, only breaded, so not crispy like my brother thought. We plan to come back again as the atmosphere and our server was top tier! Worth trying a new dish. Cheyenne was absolutely incredible

Food was good. The pork sandwich was good. I had shrimp citrus salad which was ok. But too sweet for me with the asian dressing. The kids meals - popcorn chicken & cheeseburger were decent for price. The Ruben salad was a bit plain per my FIL. Fried pork tenderloin was a hit. The cheese curds were decent as well. Service was bit slow, but the outdoor seating was amazing with the view of Illinois river. Would come again.

Near Peoria along river road in Rome is this casual, yet nice, upscale restaurant with outside views of the river. Their food is excellent. From the Honey Salmon to their thick tenderloin sandwich, each of entrees were delicious and satisfying. Ample parking, seating near the bar, dining room and outdoor on the deck.

We stopped here multiple times and have always enjoyed the food. Sweetwater is a perfect spot for a date night, or a quick burger lunch. The food is fresh, ingredients taste high quality, and drinks hit the spot.

Our first time eating here today and delicious! The bananas foster cheesecake is by far one of the best desserts we have ever had! The French onion soup was delicious and so were the cheese curds! The only thing we didn’t like was the Cuban, nothing wrong with it just didn’t hit our tastebuds, we should’ve tried the burger!!! They looked so much better. Our waitress was so sweet and kind! We definitely will be back

Appetizer (Cheese Curds): I loved the crispness and cheese combination they used to make the curds. The sauce has a great tomato taste and doesn't feel like a regular marinara sauce. BBQ Shrimp- The sauce tasted watered down, leading to the rice and shrimp not having much flavor to it. Honey Salmon- Beautiful char and salmon taste, which reduces the nasty fish taste some fish may have.

Everything was great. We had three appetizers and all had great flavor. The three lunch entrees were the same. Pretty food that tastes great too? Sign me up! We will definitely be back!

Holidays drinks were delicious, French onion soup couldn't have been better, and banana foster was yummy! We love how friendly and affordable this place is. You can sit inside with a few of the river too. A diamond in the rough!
